January 18th 2004  Work has begun on a Palm OS version rewrite. Many new features will be added in the months ahead. I am aiming for a 2.0 release early Summer 2004. If you would like to be a part of testing feel free to drop into the Forums and see what is going on.

I just submitted code to the guys at ForMinistry.com who have plans to incorporate the ReadingPlanner into their web services. This will be exciting to see what they do with the ReadingPlanner.

I covet your prayers for the ministry God has placed me in.

September 11th 2003.  School started for me last week and things are going to be slow around here. I did do a quick release of the Palm port last week. Thanks to all those who helped me test it and get it ready for release. See the Palm page for what's new in the latest release. Now I hope to get back to working on the BibleStudy port. Please continue to pray for this ministry.

Also notice I have added a Yahoo forum, it is a private forum so that spammers stay out, but it is a good place to contact me and other users of ReadingPlanner, please come in and join us in discussion about ReadingPlanner and it's future.

August 21st 2003.  An affiliate of the American Bible Society known as ForMinistry.com has contacted me recently in hopes of working with me on using the ReadingPlanner engine in their web based services update coming sometime at the end of the year. This is exciting news for me. I would have never imagined ReadingPlanner to move forward like it has. Praise God for His faithfulness to this ministry!

August 11th 2003.  The Copyright holder of the English Standard Version ESV - Crossway Books - has granted me permission to use thier section break scheme for breaking a chapter into smaller chunks based upon content. This will allow me to create reading plans which are more evenly distributed.
Thank you Crossway Books for this permission.

August 9th 2003.  I am still (slowly) working on the BibleStudy/ReadingPlanner port. I hope to have something to release in the next few weeks. Again, I covet your prayers for the future of this project.

July 19th 2003.  I am so excited! The Lord is good, I have a vision for where I want to go next on the Windows version and the Lord has lead me to a brother who has a similar vision. This brother has already begun work on this vision we have. The future of ReadingPlanner looks to be merged with BibleStudy so that we can provide biblical texts and devotionals with an easy to use interface. Not only this but BibleStudy uses a cross-platform toolkit, this means you will have a version of ReadingPlanner for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. Praise God for His ways always amaze me, and give me more confidence that this is His will and His project!

July 18th 2003.  I have opened a SourceForge.net account, and I am officially looking for volunteer helpers. If you would like to help out, email me with your skills and I will see what tasks I may be able to assign you.

July 17th 2003.  A new release of the Palm version is available ReadingPlanner 1.0.1. This was a service release only, no new features are in this release. This release resolves an issue with Bible+ bibles on expansion cards.

July 2nd 2003.  The Palm OS version of this project has finally been released. Please email me with your feedback. New releases coming soon.
